A Busy Monday

There is a lot happening today, thank goodness I've got the day off work.

I woke up early and my neck was super sore, probably from sleeping in a different bed last night (Sleeping at my parents as they were baby sitting bubba while I was at work). Some voltaren and panadol helped.

I was able to get out for a walk, which was a bonus as I thought I wouldn't be able to get one in today.

I've been getting lots of chores done, have pre-made a lasagne for tonight, and been to the post office, got some banking done, and general tidying up. I'm at home with bubba at the moment and taking a quick break during her nap.

I was thinking about why I wan't feeling hungry yesterday, and took a look at my macros, and noticed I had had more protein than usual, so I'm trying to make that a priority for the next few days, to see if I can continue with the low hunger. It makes things so much easier.

I'm not sure I can check back in later with my steps and cals, but I am on track for today.

A lovely though long Sunday

My day started early. I had to drop my husband to the airport for an early flight. We had to get up at 3:30 am, and because I had to help him with his luggage ( a lot of it), I ended up eating at the airport with him, before I came home.

I chose eggs and bacon and toast, and I did well just eating one slice of the toast, and i didn't finish the eggs either as I was full.

When I got home (to an empty house as bubs was staying at her grandparents for the night), I took the time to change the beds and put some laundry through, and then I went out for an early walk. It was very a very pretty morning with sone early morning fog burning off. No photos, because I forgot.

I then went to my parents and got there just in time to get bubs up, my niece and nephew were staying there too, so we hung out watching some kids tv (weekend treat), and playing games etc.  I also got a small snooze in while they all had breakfast. The rest of my day has been running round getting groceries, and doing chores. My bubba is asleep right now, and I'm taking the chance to get the garden watered and write this.

I'm off to work shortly and have packed some sushi, an orange and some chicken. I also ate a salad and chicken roll and some strawberries for lunch. Yum.

So to finish up the day

Steps 15404
Cals 1768

and I didn't feel hungry today!

Accountability

I think accountability might be one of those 'made up' words, which weren't real when I was a kid. If you read or listen to any health/fitness blogs/podcasts/etc it is a big buzzword. It seems like a lot of the successful maintainers out there have ways of staying accountable, and so that is why I'm setting up a blog, so I can have some accountability too. There are other great things that come with blogging like community, motivation, and information sharing.

A bit about me.

I'm not at my highest weight, and I'm also not at goal, just somewhere on the journey from one to the other. My main goal is to not go up on the scales, and I'm trying to just go down a little at a time. Right now I'm in a good place of fitting nice clothes, and feeling fitter, so I'm struggling a bit with the motivation to drop some more fat.

My highest weight was when I was pregnant, I stopped weighing at 115 kilos, and 3 months after my daughter was born my weight had levelled out at 105kilos, and right now I am 94 kilos, a long way from my 'healthy weight range' of 58-79kilos. I was 76 kilos for a few years in my 20s and around 80 kilos for some years in my thirties. I'm aiming for 80 kilos as a goal, and will assess my final goal, when I get a bit closer.

The tools I use are my fitness pal, podcasts and blogs, instagram. I walk at least an hour most days ( I generally achieve my step goal of 11000 steps) and I plan the weeks dinners every weekend, which helps. We mostly eat out of our kitchen and don't eat out much.

Oh well, here goes my first post. More to follow.
